I HAS A PROLAPSED DISC L5/SI IN JANUARY, I WAS STARTED ON A COURSE OF PAINKILLERS AND AN ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AND AM STILL TAKING SAME, HOWEVER I STIL EXPERIENCE PAIN THOUGH NOT TOO SEVERE AND SITTING IS A PROPBLEM,BUT THEN SO IS STANDING FOR LONG PERIODS AS MY LEFT THIGH GETS NUMB. I AM 41 AND FEEL SOOOOO OLD, WILL THIS PROBLEM EVER GET COMPLETELY BETTER, WHAT CAN I DO
hi there , i to have the same problem. I am only 28 and i feel like im 90. I am a carpenter and have been plauged by this lower back pain since november 08. had to take 10 weeks of work. It just comes on so suddenly ! It is very frustrating and i feel so helpless. I wish there was a treatment for it. I also find that doctors are to quick to hand out a box of painkillers and send you on your way. Back pain if investigated properly at its beginning would surely be easier fixed? But at least you can know its not necessarily age that causes the disc trouble!!
p.s you should try working on your core muscle ifind it strengthins the back and helps with the standing ,sitting problem.there are specific exercise for this muscle. hope this helps you. barry.
