propanolol for anxiety

i have been prescribed 20mg propanolol 2x a day along with .25mg clonazepam and 50mg desvenlafaxine at night for anxiety. is this a safe combination? can i take clonazepam with propanolol? i am so worried that i have taken only one propanolol in the morning for 4 days and also taking the clonazepam. i have not started desvenlafaxine.

In my opinion if the doctor has prescribed you something they wouldnt have done so if it wasnt safe. Because you have anxiety it is probably you being hyper aware of the amount of tablets you are taking and the confusing names of the medicines. In my opinion dont read the side effects leaflets just take the tablets or see how you get on with the amount of tablets you are taking and dont take anymoreuntil you know how they make you feel. If you dont feel better take desvenfaxine and see if you feel better. I wouldnt worry the doctor knpws what they are doing and actually the amounts of thr tablets you have been prescribed ared quite small eg 20mg.

I agree with Olivia, trust your doctor, they know what your on so wont prescribe you anything that would react badly to one an other. DO NOT read the side effects on your tablets either, you will start to get these symptoms, guaranteed, not because you actually have them but because your body will purposely start looking for them (part of anxiety I'm afraid) and I have had so many worries just looking at all the 'possible' side effects when, to be honest, there's a chance you wont get any of them, I myself have had very few. I'm on venlafaxine 150mg and Propranolol 80mg, both slow release by the way so what you're on isn't actually a big dose so i wouldn't worry too much.

Hope you feel better soon
