I've had a pea sized purple/brown hard lump on my shin since February. It looks a little like a blood blister. I've tried to squeeze it and nothing comes out, it just really hurts!
Does anyone have any idea on what it could be? its rock hard and only hurts when i touch it and looks really ugly.
Looks like an infected cyst. A good idea to let your doctor have a look.
thank you for your reply. i went to the doctors a a few months ago and she wasnt really sure what it was and gave me a antibiotic cream as she thought it might be an ingrown hair. didnt help at all. i will have to go back to the doctor 
Yes,an ingrown hair was my second thought. You may need 2 minutes of minor surgery to release it.
