Query Endo ?

My symptoms started as painful period like pains at anytime of the month. Very heavy bleeding (clots) and bleeding from the back passage during my period. Lower back pain, left shoulder and hip pain. And lately bouts of uncontrollable diahorrea.

Now a couple of years down the line I still have all the symptoms - except the painful period pains - they seem to have eased off - Is that possible with endometriosis ?

Always managed my symptoms with painkillers etc but due to see an endo/bowel specialist soon.

Sounds very much like my symptoms inc hip and shoulder pain and when I had investigation op I was riddled in it and had frozen pelvis. I hope you get somewhere with diagnosis and get something to make you feel better soon

Oh not just me then .... I do sometimes think what next !!!!

Did you get sorted after the investigations ?

I ended up with a radical hysterectomy Inc ovaries but don't think it has to be same with you even if it turns out to be endo. There are medication options that work for lots of women too. It could also be something completely different. Have you had a scan to have a non evasive look first?

Not yet - think the consultant going to sort all that. Hope you are feeling much better.

Thanks was a bit of a shock being in menopause at 40 and a few things to get over but on the mend 😊

For me, the endless bouts of diarrhea and losing dark rather than bright blood rectally was endo on my bowel in addition to all sorts of other places. I have no idea if this is your problem but i think it might be wise to find out. Anything that can eat through intestine or attach it to other things isn't good.

I urge you to talk seriously with you docs about the diarrhea and rectal bleeding. Other conditions can cause this and it would be best to know.

Endometriosis usually affects the bowels. I have endometriosis and GI problems associated with it. With both I follow up with Ob/gyne that specializes with endometriosis along with GI. They work together. Endometriosis can affect different parts of your body such as your lympglands. Very important to find Dr that knows endometriosis.

Pain killers can also make bowels worse if you can use NSAIDS that's a better option for pain
