Hi, does anyone ever experience this? When i went to bed last night i felt a racing in my chest - like my heart was going ten to the dozen. I could feel the hammering if i put my hand on my chest too. took my pulse, though, and that was completely normal… It lasted for about 15 seconds or so, I guess. I’ve had anxiety and mild depression for about 15 years. I’ve googled a fair bit and cant find an explanation.
sorry to hear that ,
i am suffering right now from palpitations and shortness of breath almost every day . i did all the test and came back negative . i went to 2 cardiologist and several dr all of them said i am ok and normal and healthy . also i am 20 years old . i had all theses symptoms after i googled
. so please dont google any thing just go to Dr . and tell him what you feel if he said you are ok .then go to a psychiatrist . i wish you to become fine after that .
Thanks for this. Yes, I’ve had a whole range of symptoms and tests over the years. I only googled this just to see if it was a “thing”. So far, nothing…
Best of luck with your symptoms - I know them well.
your heart is only going as fast as your pulse. you were probably feeling your heart pound which seems like its going fast.
anxiety does that, and adrenaline. it wont hurt you.
to stop the pounding, do long slow deep breath thru nose for 4 seconds, out thru pursed lips for 5 seconds.
do it kinda fast for 4-5 rounds, then slow it down. theres a great short meditation on you tube! SHE guides u thru it and it works!
SEARCH for stop panic attacks now, then scroll till u find DONT PANIC in black letters.
