Racing Heart

So i have recently moved offices to 14th floor. Before i was on 2nd. I have tried getting to the top but as a result of racing heart/out of breathe i havent been able to carry on. Now i hope that it is because i am unfit (i dont exercise because of my heart anxiey) that is making the heart race but obviously the anxiety is kicking in and telling me it must be something serious. Shall i try and persevere and see if it gets better? i know that stairs are hard to walk up if unfit and i suppose i never checked my heart before this so it could of always been doing it. Really need some advice. Given all clear in january by doctors.

Hi I would persevere. I'm small , not unfit, but gong if I climb a lot of stairs or rush about my heart races and it feels just like when my anxiety is bad and my heart is racing, calms down after 10 /15 minutes. Used to be concerned I had bad heart but over years have realised it just happens. Anxiety makes our heart race even if we are not aware we are thinking things( because your on a higher floor it may kick in knowing you are anticipating it happening approaching work. It's as if it says let's make him anxious about this. Wish I could explain better. Kepbhaving regular health checks❤️

Is there no lift in the building, I used to use the stairs up to the ninth floor when at work and it used to get the heart beating and I would also suffer breathlessness, this is normal and can be good exercise

If concerned talk to your GP and He can arrange tests to put your mind at rest.
