Plage de puissances pour les lentilles toriques monofocales Clareon

I’d like to check on the intervals between IOL powers. In other words, can IOLs be ordered by the doctor between -2.0D and -1.5D? If yes, would there be any pros or cons in ordering something less common?
Many thanks!

IOLs use a different power scale than you would have for your glasses. You normally target an outcome measured on the eyeglass scale. When your eye is measured for an IOL the surgeon get an IOL Power calculation sheet from the computer. The IOLs come in steps of 0.5 D which convert to about 0.38 D at the cornea plane. The surgeon will enter the targeted outcome and the computer will display the outcomes for each power step around that targeted range. It is best that you ask the surgeon for a printed copy of the IOL calculation sheet so you will know what your options are. You almost never get to choose a power that will give you exactly -2.0, -1.75 or -1.5 D. They will be in an around that range and you/surgeon will have to pick one.
