For the past few months my left eye has been getting progressively blurry and I've seen floaters. Went to some eye doctors and they just changed prescription, then my regular doctor wanted me to get a brain MRI.
It dawned on me then that this could be something deadly like a brain tumour and I've been panicking since. Had the MRI but a few weeks until results. Don't know how to manage the stress
Usually mri results are given back same day or next day , why so long for u? Never been that long for me. Anyways wish u the best and good luck
hi there. I had the same in my left eye . black floaters , which I thought was flys flying at me first ,and was constantly trying to bat them away ... and then white flashes happening. blurred vision and having to cover my eye. apparently it's the jelly coating that is around the eye ball , & it starts to break away. Hospital told me that it's nothing to worry about & happens for a lot of people (no age ) young or old . they only told me to go back to them if i see red lights flashes or floaters as this could mean blood leak, which could be more serious. the floaters do go after a few months.
as someone else explained, eye floaters are benign. also, since it seems you’re quite young after checking your profile, there are plenty of reasons to explain blurred vision. your age is when vision problems can present themselves since you are growing and the shape of your eyes are changing. it’s good your doctor got an Mri likely as a precaution and not high risk. if something were terribly wrong, you are usually urgently contacted before that 2 week period. so try to breathe easy, it looks as though things are fine! share with us your good results soon.
