I just recently diagnosed HSV2 IgG antibody , probably i had it for years, but luckily my wife still hasen't got the disease. She is still positive, since the diagnosis we are using condom. but the thing is we wanna have baby. What can be done in such circumstances? Is it possible to implant my sprem into her ?
I was just recently diagnosed and my PCP assured me that I can still have kids. I am sure if you speak to your physician they can explain the process to you and your wife.
It's really no big deal to conceive or have a baby when mom has HSV. I understand your concern, but it won't pass to the baby unless she's having an ob during 3rd trimester or birth. And the likelihood of the baby getting it is low, unless it's her initial ob, in which case they can just use antivirals. Like another said, just ask your physician.
First of all, you should consult her doctor to ensure you receive accurate medical advice. What do you mean, she is positive but doesn't have it? She tested positive? If she had a positive blood test then she already has it, even if she has no symptoms. There is a small chance she doesn't have it genitally, but i suspect a doctor would advise you there is little to no additional risk of having unprotected sex if you both are positive for type 2. There are ways to implant your sperm-- you could try a turkey baster at home or pursue advanced methods medically that will cost a lot. But there may be no need.
Hope you don't mind my asking but how did you come about being diagnosed recently (did you have an outbreak and get a swab or blood test?) I have HSV1 and tested negative for HSV2 yet had an outbreak 'below the belt'. Still trying to make sense But from what I've read so far regarding your topic, it doesn't seem to be a big deal for pregnancies and wanting kids for people with Herpes
I'm so sorry what i wrote was confusing. what i actually meant was, she is positive about me being HSV2 positive, but she turned out to be negative. Thats why it is my concern, if both of us were positive and if she already had IgG antibody, we'd just be careful not to have outbreak during the third trimester or have prophytalytic Valacyclovir.
