rectal bleeding and lumps in my anus, what do i have? picture included

hi all

so ill get straight to the point 

im 33 male and had for the last 3 years rectal bleeding

ive had 3 years ago ct scan of abdomen and pelvic becasue i had pains in my stomach and bleeding. ct scan came back with no problem indication. then i had a meeting with a gastro dr wich did an colonoscopy and the results came with no pathalogy.

fast forword a year later and things stayed the same  with bleeding once in two weeks - month when i went to the toilet but i had more pain and hard time giving out stools. then arround a year/ year and half ago ive did check in the mirror and was horrified to see two big lumps out my anus.

i was scheduled for proctologist to check me out.

i went he checked with finger and with a tool called proctoscopy (i think thats the name) and he said i had internal hemroids but not inflamed. he told me to keep with certain diet and keep my stool soft. that didnt help.

the lumps from the outside of my anus kept same size as in the picture  but sometimes they went more big and more painfull. i went once again for that dr arround 10 months ago and he did same tests and told me to keep my diet as he didnt want to make any operation yet. since then im having hard time giving stools, feels like i always need to push and when it goes out it always sideslide to the left side. im realy worried and my anxiety skied rocket as im affraid i was wrongly diagnosed. im not sure whats going on and i will meet the proctolog again in 3 weeks but im very worried. im worried that something internal blocking my stools to go out easy and makes it side slide when going out + the bleeding and the lumps.

even though this forum is annonymous its still pretty embarrasing to post a picture with my condition so please if you are digusted by those things dont open the picture. im really sorry in advance its not a nice one.

can anyone give me any advice? did you have similar symptoms? does your condition and lumps look similar to mine?

i would realy appriciate any comment if you can help me or share your expirience.

Jordan,

You say you have an appointment in 3 weeks so before then you should do everything you can to try and make your life a little easier. If you can do anythng to avoid the op I would strongly recommend it. The op is not fun. But you may need to change your diet and things as soon as you can to try to make your life easier-that way when you go to the doc you will have done everything on your side to help.

Make sure you are drinking lots of water everyday. This is very important - don't let up on this.

Try to cut out meat and dairy as much as you can - just cut down if you can - these things are harder to digest.

Add lots of veggies to your diet, if possible, these things will help - Oats, leafy green veggies, berries, figs, prunes, apples, pears, cocout water, broccoli, water melon, beetroot, tomatoes, raw veggies, citrus - lemons, oranges, limes, olive oil, avocado oil, chia seeds, flax seeds, pineapple.

Eat regulary - 3 or 4 times a day - even if it's smaller meals. 

If yu can soak in a warm bath tub or Sitz bath try that a few times a day. (Don't sit ont he Sitz too long a I feel this put soe pressure on you but the warm water will help).

Most important - can you get Psyllium? I would say this is number 1 after water. ot sure what country you are in. Could be called metamucil. Mix this is a small water bottle and shake it with cold water and rink quickly after mixing. follow down with lots of water. If you leave it - it gets thick and is hard to drink.

This is all my personal opinion but don't expect your docs to fix everthign - try to do as many of htese htings as you can and see if life becoems easier. If you can fix it yourself - the Psyllium will help a huge amount - then you may just need to change you diet. (I take about 3 teaspoons mixed with lots of water everynight - some people take more - it's hard to stir into water - a lot easier to shake up in a bottle)

Hi Jordan.  I had a similar situation a year ago and I am not sure if this will help you but I tried it and have found long term relief ever since.  Like you, I went to a couple of GP's and specialists and they found no pathology so I went to an ND and he recommended changes in lifestyle (sleep, diet, exercise) and reducing stress levels.  I understood that I was running myself to the ground on a daily basis so I gradually changed some of those things.  I dropped the cheese and other dairy products.  I stopped using white flour.  I incorporated more greens (kale, collards, turnips, mustard) into my diet and cut down on the meat  (no more than 100 grams per day).  He said to sit on the toilet for only the amount of time it takes to have a bowel movement.  He also recommended sitz baths and washing instead of wiping.  He recommended taking a good probiotic so I did.  What was peculiar, however, was his recommendation to saute the miniature purple onions (usually sold in a little net bag) in butter and eat them (6-10 onions) each day.  In about two weeks, the bumps and bleeding just stopped.  This is not some miracle diet sales pitch.  The bleeding stopped and has yet to return.  The bumps are gone and there is no soreness.  I hope this helps.

Jordan, I sent you a reply an hour ago but for reason it's being moderated. You will see that it's very similar to what camdenbuck says. Check your diet and make some changes. You want to do everything you can to avoid the operation, it's can be very painful (I can't stress that enough)  and 6 months later it looks like i have to go back for corrective surgery to fix what they messed up the first time.

Check your diet. Drink lots of water . Take Psylllium.

As eveyone say, change your diet may be everything. I understand it can be very stressful. First, make sure your stool is soft everyday. Drink plenty of water, literally. My dr did not recommended take an excessive fiber since it may bulken up your stool. Things will get worse wothout drinking plenty of fluid.

I haven't looked at the photos but from what you write it highly likely that you have hemorrhoids. they can be(are) painful when they develop into external ones. long story short, check your diet, drink lots of water and try using suppositories and laxatives. having a sitz bath everyday also helps reduce the pain. from what I've read on this forum, try your best to avoid having a surgery. lots of luck

UPDATE (5th Jan 2017)

first i wanted to thank you all for the replies 

so ive been today at the proctolog doctor

he checked me once again and told me i had several internal hemorroids, he basicly said that my internal rectum is full of them but arent inflamed

he said the bleeding probly comes from there. i asked him about procedure to tie them with a rubber, im not sure how its called in english but some here probly know what i mean, when the doctor ties one of the hemorroids with a rubber and then it should fall after couple days but the doctor didnt want to perform it, he said it would only help temporary and that this procedure would not heal the problem so once again he told me to go into certain diet, gave me some candles to use for 3 weeks 3 times a day called "procto glyvenol", didnt use it yet but he said it supose to help with shrinking them abit. the doctor told me that diet is the key and keeping stools soft. he told me that if i dont get into strict diet that i might suffer from this condition for the rest of my life and will eventualy find myself in a surgery or even several of them as usualy those conditions come back after surgery aswell... he forword me to a dietanic that would make for me a schedule meals and tell me exacly what to eat. i was affraid that i might have something with colon and asked i should make another colonoscopy test and he said no since i had one 3 years ago and it showd nothing.. i asked him what about the external hemorroids wich i thought i had (shown in the picture in my original post) and he said that those arent external hemmoroid but skin tag wich caused by the interntal ones. im really our of my mind with this situation. im a skinny guy and cutting down most of that food will make me be in a bad lose weight.. i really dont know what to do..

was he right to insist not to make any procedure?? should i see another proctologyst??

You shouldn't need to cut down on food - it's probably just what you eat. 

You probably need to change your diet to foods that pass through you easier and cut out foods that cause you to strain. 

You really want to avoid any ops at all costs if you can. Not only can they be very painful - they can go wrong (i'm one of those people) AND they don't necessarily fix the problem. ( I ended up in hospiatl for 10 days

Don't try another doctor yet. Increase your water intake. Change your diet - meaning the foods that you eat. Don't worry about loosing weight - you can eat more of the better things and less of the things that are not helping you.  I have listed quite a few above so has camdenbuck. Do some research online to find foods that will pass through you easily and research foods that cause constipation and avoid those - avoid meat, avoid dairy - cheese - cream, milk as much as you can. 

You need to do all these things for a few months and see what happens. Don't worry about the skin tags for now. you need to get the other things under control - if the tags are 'just there' and don't hurt or bleed - then they are just excess skin that basically hasn't shrunk after hemorrhoids (that's my understanding) and you don't need to worry about those - even though they do not feel great.

I think you are worrying about things that are not important. I have colon cancer in the family and they recommend a colonoscopy only every 5 yrs. After the age of 50. If nothing came up 3 years ago I think it is unlikely to be causing you an issue right now. (just my opinion)

DON't expect tjhe doctors can fix everything - YOU need to keep on top of drinking an adequate amount of water, lots of veggies and eat regulary - maybe 3 of 4 times a day (this was really hard for me too - I used to eat one big meal late at night) Eat smaller and often. And se ehow your body does after a few weeks. Once you get into a decent eating schedule - it will just become part of your daily routine. 

Don't worry - you're going be fine but you may have to make some changes in your eating habits.

Few quick inputs based on recent recovery I made due to a nice Doctor and by grace of god -

1 Stop taking Red Chilli and High spicy food

2 Increase fruit (papaya is best) and fibrous food specially as a starting food in breakfast

3 Increase water intake

4 after passing poo immediately take hot water dip bath ( Sytz Bath for 10 to 15 min

5 Wear surgical glove and apply Sucral Ano ointment st anus and inside try to push gently haemorohid if it is external

6 Try yoga ( search gaumukh asan on YouTube)

7 Take medicine Hilo 2 cap in morning and 2 in night or its equivalent...

8 Apply baby rash free cream before sleeping on affected area ( preferably check for Zinc Oxide with approximately 40%)

9 I also took homeopathic medicine after slight relief.

10 If pain is severe take pain killer like ibuprofene

Above helped me escape surgery and I recovered in 2 week time

i did make a change since a week ago when i saw the dr and posted here.

still didnt had good outcomes in toilet but i hope it will get sorted out probly because i changed diet. i didnt bleed for a week but today blood again.

i know that the "C" word sounds crazy and i might going crazy myself about this becasue i barely have any pain from the hemorrhoid condition, yes i feel discomfort and slight pain sometimes and stools doesnt go out straight but everytime i see this blood i get this anxiety if its really from the hemorrhoid or not.. im really going crazy and hope it will subside. ill do anything to reduce this condition.
