Recurring cold - really need help

Hi. I am a 26 years old female. I have been having recurring cold since the last year. Usually it starts with a scratchy throat which leads to fever and then accompanied by nasal congestion, headache and excess phlegm. It takes around 10 days. Leaves me weakened, exhausted and causes absenteeism from work which is very inconvenient.

It comes back after 6 to 8 weeks. Initially I took anti biotics, high doses for the throat. But now i am sick of them.

I need to get rid of these frequent viral attacks. Can somebody please provide an advice on it?

Looking forward. Thanks!

I have visited three ENT specialists. All with a different diagnosis.

First told me that I am allergic to cold stuff so I need to take lorin on daily basis for ever.

Second doctor told me that the claim that i am making regarding recurrent sore throat isn't reasonable enough to convince him. He gave me high dose of antibiotics.

Third asked me to get my tonsils removed.

I am now planning to get an allergy test for myself. Because these frequent illnesses are meddling with my daily life. I am unable to give my best at work and also can't workout regularly.

If it is coming back all the time, you could be having mild pneumonia,

have the doctor take x-ray to rule it out and treat you for the viral. No antibiotics are needed.

Sorry, i should say, no antibiotics if it is viral infection.

Antibiotics will have no effect on virus infections. You man be experiencing an allergic reaction

If you are trying to get away from all the antibiotics, then there are a few different natural ways.  Me personally has not been down with anything for years.  My throat might get a little sore now and then, but is usually gone the next day.  I use a liquid silver supplement, that I get from crsupplements, and gargle with it.  Then I take a few drops of oregano added to a small amount of water.  Then without breathing I drink water until the oregano taste is gone.  That also gets rid of the silver taste. Oregano can be picked up at health food stores and will last quite a while.  I also use garlic, that I grow myself.  All of these combined make for a great immune booster.

I have had this issue....the virus seems to lie dormant in the body util the slightest over activity, getting cold or stress seems to activate it again......I had the same thing a couple of years ago....a friend who is an cranial osteopath thinks this virus is not flu but one of the herpes type virus and is possibly man made.....I caught it late January two years go and didn't get free of the post viral fatigue until May ...I have been told taking a five day course of Famvir will greatly help but will not kill the virus by a friend who had the same illness...its a horrid illness as every time you think you are getting well it knock you over again......it does pass however but went on for four months with me and I have it again....hey I am sixty but I'm not normally ill and take no medications.....
