Soulagement de la sensation de plénitude dans les oreilles

What has been your best relief. I often take 200mgs ibupophren and lay down on the worst ear on a heating pad. Today, that made me dizzy for the first time. I feel like I'm trying to relieve a moving target, because the presenting symptoms are always changing.

The feeling of fullness in the ear, I find to be one of the worst symptoms and with me the tinnitus becomes intolerable and reduces me to tears, as I sometimes cannot see it improving.  However I have now put myself on a very strict low sodium diet.  This is boring but it has really helped.  Unfortunately it means cooking all your own food, including things like Ketchup and making my own bread.  When you start to read how much salt manufacturers put into their food, it is quite frightening.  I am also on Serc 16 x 3 per day.  At the moment my ear is ok, my hearing has returned and the tinnitus, although there, is tolerable.  I am sure the diet is helping, also no caffeine or alcohol, I can do without the alcohol but not eating chocolate is a nightmare.  I have read that Ibuprofen when taken regularly can increase salt retention, not sure if this is true or not but just thought I'd mention it.

Hi,

I am always aware of a washy feeling in my right ear which now has only 20% hearing although my other ear is perfect. Only once, touch wood, bell like ringing which lasted twenty minutes in the middle of the night before diagnosis. I take 16mg Betahistine x 3 daily & take a paracetamol with the first & last dose as it seems to sort out other sensations around me. I have been prescribed 10mg Amitryplinne at bed time to help with nerve pain which had felt like pins & needles all over my head and it works & sends me to sleep. I think the four steroid injections I have had too have really helped with balance & sickness from the vertigo. The thing is you can never get complacent as tomorrow you could end up in bed after weeks of normality so I just try to take every day as it comes & avoid stressful situations.

I think stress is a huge factor in bringing on symptoms. I'm trying to figure how to reduce stress, Yoga, exercise, therapy. I'm learning that just getting upset about a situation will stir up symptoms that had decreased in intensity and frequency.
