HI everyone, please help answer my question. I had an protected vaginal sex with a sex worker 2 months ago. However between switching condom, I inserted my penis head (unprotected) in her vagina for a few second. She was very wet and her HIV status is unknown. Bad sore throat, white tongue/oral thrush and body ache started to appear one month after the sex. What is my chance of getting infected through urethra or penis glan? I'm having a severe anxiety now and Currently I'm waiting to get tested at 3 months.
One month after to me = unrelated to encounter described.
It's more like 2-3 weeks after the sex that I started to have sore throat.
now you can do the test the result is 95persent correct
post your result as soon as possible
First of all, HIV has no symptoms. It is a VIRUS, hence the name: Human Immunodeficiency Virus. The disease is called AIDS. That is where the symptoms come in. Second of all, even one second of unprotected genital contact can spread an STD, let alone HIV. If you are so concerned, get tested. That is the only way to alleviate your anxiety.
Are you serious? Make an audio recording of your comment and play it back to yourself; I'm sure you'd be shocked that you even suggested that.
DON'T you ever do what ganesh39275 suggested because it's not necessary. It is your personal record; don't ever make it public, please.
There's no way on earth HIV symptoms would appear that quickly. You still need to be tested tho. But just know that those symptoms have nothing to do with that specific encounter; it is too early for signs and symptoms of HIV infection to appear that quickly.
yes devid i know my self but he was completed two month for that only i am saying
I was reacting to your suggestion that he post his test result when it's available, unless of course you meant him letting us know what the result is and not uploading the actual result document.
Since you asked about the chance or let’s go with odds... The odds of contracting HIV from insertive penile sex, according to the CDC, is 1 in 2500 occurrences. This is assuming that the person has HIV to begin with and is also not taking suppressive drugs. What I am saying is that the odds of contracting HIV are low to begin with.
Thrush by is a late stage symptom of full blown AIDS. It would not be a symptom of HIV infection - but a white tounge and thrush like symptoms can be caused by anxiety, which you say you are dealing with. It is possible the sore throat and aches were a common cold as well.
I would test at 4 weeks and then again at 6 weeks. Most experts consider HIV tests (4th generation) to be conclusive at 6 weeks.
Why would I do that? I have to agree with david911. Make an audio recording of your comment and play it back to yourself and you will hear how silly you sound.
Thanks bro. I won't even take ganesh39275 serious.
Thanks Steven for the info.
It's a great pleasure. Have a pleasant, worry-free weekend.
You are likely okay and I would not stress too much about it. Don’t let anxiety get the best of you. Get tested and believe the results. And stay away from the CSWs my man!
Best of health....
Definitely will stay away from CSW. Even the odd is very low, I still have anxiety and stress. Also, I still have a mild white tongue at the moment. Hopefully, it's not related to HIV infection.
White tongue is likely anxiety related... it happened to me so I am speaking from personal experience.
Thrush would be a full blown AIDS symptom not early HIV infection symptom by the way.
