My wife has just fallen pregnant (4 weeks) and has been on Rivaroxaban as she was diagnosed with PE. This wasn't planned but we are now in a real dilemma as to what to do next. The drug is apparently toxic and it's not known what the effects could have on the baby. From what I've found, testing has been done on rats and there is talk of the drug affecting foetal development but not much else. It doesn't give percentages, if it can be reversed etc.
really desperate for any advice whatsoever, if anyone has any info on anyone that has given birth whilst using the drug through early stages of pregnancy, that would be huge information BUT I realise there is a low chance of receiving this info.
Again, any research, or info would be appreciated.

Hello CWB , see" NHS Choices " ( key in Rivaroxaban ) and you will find that R is not suitable for pregnacy . Contact your heathcare provider today and get advice . In the interim ask whether you can suspend medication immediately and then change medication ASAP
My husband has just been changed to R and is having problems. He is going back to warfarin...but if you do that try and get yourself a coaguchek machine and do your own INR tests. It means you are in control instead of the GP or hospital.
You're right about this Bowman , I went solo about 2 years ago and have averaged 2.7 INR for 2014 and about same to date in 2015
I was on a high dose whilst (unknowingly) pregnant for 8 weeks. My daughter is 3 next week & absolutely perfect 
Now that you're partner is expecting, she should be switched onto cleaner injections that can she can administer herself daily. As soon as the baby's born, she can go back to her medication as normal - that's what I did
