Oh exactly why I'm taking them !!! I suffered GAD for 13 years but the OCD thing has taking over my life the past year !! I think that's why I'm so positive about this treatment , if I didn't get the help now I don't think I could have gone on .
Yes exactly what i said to myself, we will all pull through. The one thing i get is neck tension and horrible heaches my head and neck are that tight my head shakes feels horrible and i can feel it all in my shoulders and neck and makes me feel like im blocked up with a cold. I just need all this anxiety lifted to feel normal
Scott this is the exact way I'm feeling tension headaches sore neck an shoulders !!! But one thing I'm starting to sleep a bit better , and I'm not googling every little ache an pain no more I would put myself in the grave 20 times a day !!!
Hahaha yeah i was a compulsive googler lol i dont google anything now so the tablets must be working on the OCD. I know the tension is horrible amd makes me feel panicky i can feel it all the time. If im to cold i can feel it more or if ive eaten alot of sugar and those tend to make you shake more anyway so you tense up and clentch your jaw or shoulders and the pain lasts for days weeks months even
Have any of you had a couple of drinks on them? If so what was the reaction or was there none?
I asked this question my self , as I haven't drank nothing on them yet , people got a few good bits of advice xx
Drinking is fine just dont go crazy
Excellent I'll have 10 pints instead of 20 ;-) good to hear there are no effects . And to think I went to a wedding yesterday and did not touch a drop! Thanks Scott
People will always say dont do it and they had a bad reaction ect but i used to drink on cilotapram and i was ok i just got drunk quicker. Ive not had a drink on sertraline but its not because i think its a bad idea its just because i dont want a drink. If i want to have 7 pints i will regardless of tablets or not.
I'll take it easy - I couldn't cope with drinking on chiropram I was a shaking wreck the following day . I'll test drive it today .... Does is low so I think I should be ok :-) this page is so good being able to share with others in the same boat ! It's a sh*tty rocky unsteady boat but none the less it's keeping us all afloat!
Hi Georgie,
How did having a drink on Sertraline go.?
Hi,
I've been prescribed sertraline for acute health anxiety, but can't actually bring myself to take them, I'm petrified of the side effects, obviously on the information sheet they have to list all the possible things that could happen but doesnt mean they necessary will.
How does everyone find them? Any feedback would be sooo greatly appreciated as I can't keep fighting this daily battle with anxiety, I'm tired and want my life back
I hope your toilet troubles have got better
Xx
Honestly easy nothing really with side effects im just tired beeb on just over 3 weeks. First week was amazing then it leveld out to nothing still waiting to feel the benifits but seeing a few good days now. Takes 4 to 6 weeks to get into your system. I was like you then took them and couldnt belive i had hardly no side effects and the ones i did wasnt bothersome at all
Hi Claire,
I didn't do it - the honest reason being is I went to the docor about my anxity which is due to me feeling insecre in my relationship. My partner and I had a bit of a bust up the other week when I was drunk (before taking the pills) so I was worried to be fair that therte would be a repeate.... I love a good drink but for now I'm going to hang fire. Let me know if you go for it :-)
Hi ya Scott,
Heres one for you I'm due to increase my dose in the next few days...Will there be any changes in side effects , My biggest one is lack of eating and feeling slightly edgy? do you reckon this will get worse? I'm on day 11...
Hi ya,
I went up from 50mg to 75mg and got a few different side effects.
My main one is flattened appetite. Still remains. Which is no good when you have a drink. Decided best kick alcohol as to messy and crash the next day have no appetite at all.!!! It's a tightrope being on Sertraline. it's 3mths now just keep on taking the pills.
