i started on 50mg sertraline and took for 4 days. immediately had urgency and frequency but wrote it down to overactive bladder (which i also have but was calm over the past few months). day 4 all was fine until the evening when i had the worst panic attack, dizziness lightheadedness and nausea. googled around and decided to stop next day. i am now on day 3 after stopping and the nausea is almost gone. head feels ok now but the bladder is still horrible. urgency and frequency and massive difficulties voiding. spent an hr in the bath this night at 3am to try to pee a bit. saw my gp. he says that it should calm down as it takes serterline to get out of the system. i am totally shocked that this medication has such an effect. emphasis was always on making the depression and anxiety worse and nausea but for me bladder is the biggest issue. i read (all too late) retention can be a very uncommon side affect and i feel really bad i didnt read more about it before starting sertraline. did anyone else have similar problems and if so how did they resolve it? i am so stressed over these bladder issues that my anxiety is at all time high. any input would be greatly appreciated .
