Hi Michele, yep, you get very vivid and weird dreams on this med. I normally don't remember my dream at all, but each time I get back on this med one of the side effects is strange bizarre dreams. So, try not to make a big thing out of these dreams. They will eventually dissipate in intensity. Take care.
I had weird vivid dreams the first week of taking these it was unreal like I was a awake in fact I've never experienced anything like it I wasn't sure if I was a sleep or hallucinating ! It stopped after first week x
hey, i was unlucky in that for me, the weird dreams when taking sertraline never stopped, and i took sertraline (100mg) for an entire year. i stopped taking sertraline recently and have almost weaned off. the weird dreams have not completely passed for me yet, now that i have stopped taking sertraline, but already they are not so intense anymore.
it's a shame, as apart from the over-dreaming at night (so then tired all the next day!) i did like sertraline and it worked well for depression and anxiety.
