Sertraline, tight chest and anxiety

Hi everyone.

I take 50mg of Sertraline.

During the weekend I exercised quite vigorously without taking much of a rest. So much so, that my heart rate was rapid. Anyway, during that hard session, I experienced a panic attack, which is something I haven’t experienced for years and ever since I started taking antidepressants. Since the weekend (a week later), I’ve been experiencing mild chest tightness and the need to breathe deeply (draw in a lot of air). I have also felt fatigued and experience a sortnofnrun down feeling. So, as a result of that intense session of exercise and the panic attack, my 50mg dose of Sertraline no longer seems to be quite as effective. The question is, whether what I’m experiencing is anxiety and as such, I should increase the dosage of medication or isn’t something more sinister, perhaps heart related?

Any help would be much appreciated?

I think it is important that you consult your doctor this is really a change in your health that needs to be investigated. It may or may not be heart related or medication related but until it’s investigated you won’t know!
