I have been getting severe abdominal and stomach muscle cramping off and on for a few months. My PCP has given me a couple different muscle relaxers but they don't work. It happens in the early am when I try to sit up I bed. Then my abdomen and stomach muscles start tightening and cramping. I have to push past it and sit up in bed. I am on pain med for chronic pain (metal plate in neck ,arthritis throughout all joints, recent whiplash to already damaged neck ) I take it as prescribed but it feels like withdrawals. How can that be when I haven't stopped my pain meds. I'm confused.
You mean you experience pain in stomach aswell like stomach cramp? If yes then it could be the medicines that you are using thats causing this, pain meds are known to cause stomach inflammation.
I have been having stomach pains for the last few days..Tried figuring out what I ate.. turns out. It was the vitamin D I have been taking. 10,000 IU is way too much.
I Read this forum, some of the suggestion for you I tell you...Exercise correctly. Working your muscles hard can be good for your health, but working them too hard or incorrectly can lead to injuries. Always make sure you use proper form and rest if you need to. Limit your alcohol consumption. Changing your diet may help prevent stomach spasms caused by gas, gastritis, IBS, and inflammatory bowel disorders.
Limit spicy foods, which can irritate your stomach and make spasms worse.
Fatty foods can also increase symptoms in these conditions and should be limited.
