Shortness of breath that come and go

Hello, I am 21 years old and in the past 2 months or so I've been having some breathing problems, it feels like I can't get enough air in when I breath, makes me have a weird feeling on my chest, and also when I try to yawn sometimes it feels incomplete like I can't get satisfaction from breathing.

It started around 2 months ago, but there is times where I feel good, like it almost goes away completely for days but then there is days that I feel it all the time.

I went to my doctor when it was starting but wasn't for this reason, so I just broached it with him and he checked my lungs and my oxygen level, he used the stethoscope to hear me breathing and said it was fine and my oxygen level was 98%, but I was still feeling out of breath in there, he told me was most likely anxiety.

For 1 year now I've had a lot of health anxiety just feels weird because this feels so hard to believe that there is nothing wrong.

I'm mostly scared of being a lung problem like weak diaphragm or a heart problem like heart failure.

My girlfriend and parents told me it is just anxiety but it is scary.

Mostly wanted to vent about this as I feel frustrated.

Anyone else deal with anything similar or have dealt in the past?

Cheers.

I had a similar issue three years ago. I started walking outside for 5 minutes a day. I phoned a friend 2-3 time a week and it helped

Yes yes yes it is definitely anxiety.. I had that bad all last week to the point I started to panic.. like I could be laying down and all of a sudden felt like I was low on oxygen or I wasn't getting enough air. I tried to ignore it like ok it's anxiety I'm ok then it's like it got worse and I started crying and that actually kind of helped lol.. when u feel that way try sitting up with the fan on it will some what ease it up some.. it's anxiety though u will be just fine love and by the way I'm 22 so we're definitely too young to have anything too too serious going on

It would seem like an anxiety, you need to consider distraction to take your mind of this Anxiety and associated stress.

You could discuss with your Doctor if He could arrange therapy so you can move on from this however you will need to follow the techniques taught and move on.
