Signed off work for anxiety, employer ignoring my calls and emails, what should i do?

I recently started a job in another city, however I was finding the travelling, work and people quite hard to deal with and my anxiety peaked within the first few weeks. I also have recently started taking sertraline so I've been dealing with the side effects too.

My doctor decided to sign me off work for 3 weeks to rest and try and get better, however I have had no response from my employer since I emailed her yesterday saying I've been signed off sick, along with my sick note. I have tried phoning the office a few times and there's been no response. My manager in general is not a very nice person and quite rude, and I noticed previously she would ignore calls from people she didn't like/didn't want to speak to, so I am putting two and two together and assuming this is what she is doing to me, which is unacceptable. Does anyone have any idea what I should do? This is just adding to my anxiety and not helping it!

Hi Emily l have to say there is nothing you can do.You have sent in your sick line so you have informed them that you are unwell. You have no control over how your boss reacts so try to put that aside for now and concentrate on your health.Hopefully the medication will help you.

Focus on you now! You did what you had to do by informing them of your absence so focus on getting better.
