Hi I have had eye redness and aching behind the eyes for a while now, went to see an opthamologist who couldn't see anything wrong with the health of my eyes, it was only when I started getting post nasal drip that I thought maybe it wasn't sinus related, sure enough as soon as I started with a Neti pot and going down the sinus route I started to see an improvement, however my eyes still aren't 100% and I am still getting aches in my face and my head feels so heavy, does anyone have any advice on how to relieve sinus pressure?? Hi, I have had for months a left eye problem related to sinus issues it seems - waking up with a very sore, watery eye. As that's the side where I've had tooth issues and where a nasal spur is, it kind of makes sense. Optician thought that too. I'm on a waiting list to have sinus surgery done, three years now! Also, although I never have nasal discharge, I get it when this eye thing, blow my nose and it comes out of the left nostril.

Oh my goodness. Please tell me if you've felt any relief. I have the worst pain right underneath my eyebrows in the corner of my eyes. It won't quit! I cannot concentrate at work. I also have a 2 year old at home. I'm on the verge of tears. I'm getting nervous something is wrong.
Salut Dana j'espère que tu as réussi à trouver un peu de soulagement pour la douleur dans ton œil. Moi aussi, je souffre de cette douleur atroce. Je l'ai eue par intermittence pendant mes 27 ans, mais depuis mai, elle est constante, ainsi qu'un mal de tête constant qui ne s'est pas calmé du tout... En fin de compte, j'ai payé pour une IRM qui a diagnostiqué une infection chronique des sinus. On m'a prescrit deux semaines d'antibiotiques. Je suis maintenant au quatrième jour et mon mal de tête a un peu diminué, mais cette douleur oculaire est toujours la même.
Je ne peux pas me concentrer au travail non plus. Ça prend vraiment le dessus, non ? Le mien est mon œil gauche, juste au-dessus près du coin sous mon sourcil. C'est comme une douleur sourde.
C'est assez effrayant.
Mine is left as well, that's the side of rhe nasal spur. Also on antibiotics too at the moment, doxycycline. What are you on? Not a long term solution of course

L'éperon nasal ? Je n'en ai jamais entendu parler. On m'a prescrit de l'Amoxicilline augmentin, 3 fois par jour pendant 2 semaines. Je pense que c'est un antibiotique de dernier recours, car la dame a dit qu'il n'y avait pas d'autre comprimé après celui-ci. Ce n'est pas une solution à long terme, mais je pense qu'ils espèrent que cela résoudra mon problème... rien pour l'instant, cependant.
Est-ce que vos antibiotiques fonctionnent ?
Le neurologue qui a examiné mon scanner CT a dit que c'était un rhume résiduel qui a causé l'infection. J'ai eu plusieurs mauvais rhumes l'hiver dernier, mais je ne me suis jamais senti enrhumé ou congestionné, c'est pourquoi je n'ai pas attribué la douleur oculaire et les maux de tête sévères aux sinus.
Avez-vous une idée de ce qui cause le vôtre ?
Ce n'est pas grave pour la réponse. C'est horrible et cela aide quand quelqu'un d'autre sait ce que vous traversez.

Hi, after more than ten years of suffering, they put a camera up the nose and found a nasal spur pressing on a turbinate and the other turbinates were swollen, explaining the congestion, infection and pain. I need an op but have been on the waiting list for three years!
À quoi ressemble la douleur dans votre œil ? Je me demande si je souffre de quelque chose de similaire. Mais je n'ai jamais été congestionné.
Oh, c'est affreux... 3 ans. Vous devez être extrêmement frustré. Y a-t-il des signes qu'ils vont bientôt le faire ?
Well it was my teeth on that side first for years, even during root canal they had to stop because of the pain as they didn't know I had a pretty much constant sinus infection. This year rhe eye on that side started. It's like I wake up with a painful feeling of being poked and my eye waters, it's awful, first thought it was conjunctivitis as red sometimes but chemist said it shouldn't hurt. Then the optician said the same as the denist - it's your sinuses! The bane of my life.
I would get the optician to give you the all clear. Also push for a camera endoscopy, ir may be just viral due to the cold but seems a long time for that? Could even be polyps or allergies. I felt better knowing what it was as it explained things to me, others just don't understand as it's a hidden, chronic condition
Waouh, tes dents. C'est incroyable, n'est-ce pas, mais je suppose que tout est lié. Je suis allé chez l'ophtalmologiste et j'avais un nerf optique enflé. Cela m'a alors paniqué et j'ai été conduit directement aux urgences ophtalmologiques. Le gonflement a depuis diminué, merci mon Dieu. C'est évidemment tout lié, mais je ne sais pas comment.
C'est une condition chronique. C'est absolument horrible. J'espère que les antibiotiques fonctionnent pour toi.
