I am 39. I had the ufe procedure on 8th August 2017. My largest fibroid is 11 cm x 12 cm and presses on my bladder. I am still getting a dull pain and after a lot of movement I do get sharp cramping pain. I do feel achy at times and I get more hot flushes now. Did anyone else experience this?
I haven't had any pains but I get hot flashes all the time now
It could be your fibroids slowly shrinking. As far as the sharp pain, I would let your dr know. I don't remember having any pain two weeks after my procedure. I'm 43 and As far as hot flashes, mine increased too. My fibroids are half in size now and I haven't gotten my period in 6-7 weeks now... very unusual for me but I know I'm in perimenopause for sure because of all my symptoms. I really do think everyone experiences something a little different after UFE depending on their own body and age.
Thanks for replying. I am thinking the same that the fibroids are probably slowly shrinking, so I am trying to go with it as it were. I am still taking ibuprofen and buscopan as the dull pain doesn't let up. I just feel I should be more pain free by now with only pain now and again as the fibroids shrink.
Thanks for replying. The hot flushes are annoying at times especially when everyone else is cold.
Hello. I am a week post procedure. I had the UAE on September 18, 2025. My fibroid was on the larger side and 10cm. Immediately following my procedure the pain was excruciating and that intense pain lasted until the following day. Although my pain has diminished some I was still have strong pain. I am 40 with normal menstrual cycles and generally no hot flashes and now I’m having them frequently past procedure. Still having abdominal pain and pressure. Hopefully in the weeks to come it will lessen.
