Can anyone tell me if a gown is required during a skin cancer screening? I'm a male patient and when I see a female doctor I would be more comfortable completely nude - to me the gown is embarrassing, being naked isn't. Is it up to the patient or is it up to the doctor? Or do I just need to ask the doctor or the PA each time I go in for an exam? Thanks for any feedback.
