Olá a todos, então hoje marca 2 semanas desde a minha THR e fui ao hospital esta tarde para retirar o curativo.
A ferida está muito boa, embora mais longa do que eu pensava!
A enfermeira disse para manter o curativo fora, a menos que comece a "sangrar".
No entanto, minha incisão tem pontos internos e cola na pele externa. Agora tenho um medo irracional de que a ferida vá se abrir. Queria perguntar se alguém mais teve esse tipo de fechamento de pele e se há algo que eu deva fazer para aliviar quaisquer problemas.
I had that sort too. I am nearly 4 weeks post op and initially when dressing came off there was dried blood along the incision. bit by bit it's falling off. first it appears a bit red but fades quick. Nearly all my scar is now clear and fairly hard to see when I glimpse in the mirror. It feels itchy sometimes though.
Minha pele tem coçado, mas achei que era o curativo. É um alívio tirar o curativo, e ótimo saber que você não teve nenhum problema. Xx
Kathy, I am now almost 5 months post THR and doing good. I had glue for my incision and my first night home from the hospital, the incision completely opened up and I had to go back in for another surgery and they put staples in. Was not fun. I think you should be pretty safe now that you have the patch removed.

Did you have internal stitches and then last flap of skin glued or the while thing glued?
Yes, I had the internal stitches and the glue. The glue opened up but internal stitches were intact. There was also a Blood Clot that may have had something to do with the glue not working.

oh poor you. when the dried blood fell off and it was red underneath I did worry it was splitting but calmed down quickly. thankfully mine seems very secure as I have been massaging it to soften some of the slightly lumpy bits (it works btw)
if you have a waterproof dressing you can usually shower after 3rd day.

Oi Kathy: tirei meus grampos após 2 semanas e começou a sangrar levemente por um dia. Deixei arejar à noite e coloquei um pomada antibiótica conforme orientado. Quatro semanas após a cirurgia, comecei a nadar. Fui orientada a ter cuidado para não me curvar muito ou coçar. Fiquei tão preocupada que fosse abrir, mas não abriu. Não me molhei na banheira e só lavei suavemente no chuveiro.
Isso é interessante de saber, pois o meu está muito irregular, o que eu acho que são os pontos que estão se dissolvendo por baixo? X
Only if you have a walk in shower. If your shower is over the bath then its once you have seen your surgeon at around 6 weeks. Hence after going 6.5 weeks when I had mine done without a shower. I have had the bath removed and a walk in shower put in.

I forgot about the walk in only shower restriction. I live in UK in a council flat and because of shower over bath and toilet being in awkward position so couldn't get toilet raiser around it my other half fought hard and had a brand new bathroom with walk in shower installed week before op as well as getting a new hip. Feel very fortunate right now.
Quando eu estava vendo a fisioterapeuta pré-operatória, ela sugeriu que eu encomendasse um assento para colocar sobre a banheira para que eu pudesse tomar banho, o que fiz. É ótimo, eu me sento na borda (lado não operado) e escorrego para dentro. Consigo me levantar quando estou completamente sentada. Estou apenas 2 semanas pós-operatória agora, e até tive meu curativo removido ontem, e eles ainda estão felizes por eu poder tomar banho todos os dias. Eu estaria em uma situação difícil se não pudesse! Xx
Yes I had exactly the same. I was told the surgeon used dissolvable internal stiches and glue for the outer. It's been brilliant. No clips or stitches to come out. The wound looks very neat. I occasionally get a feeling like an electric shock, but apparently this is normal because the nerves were cut during the op and are now confused!!! I was told to massage the scar with moisturizer everyday to stimulate the nerves i find this does help. I've had no weeping or discharge from the wound at all. I was very pleased with the outcome.
