went on a date and used a hot tub 5 days ago and kept went underwear on for rest of night. we had protected vaginal sex only afterwards. the next day i had red burning skin on my groin on my right side.

it doesn’t look like it to me. does it itch or hurt at all? herpes blisters usually burst and they really do cause a lot of discomfort. to me yours looks like a rash.
the rash stings but no blisters or itching. feels like chafed skin but the location of it scares me
in my opinion its likely a rash from living wet chlorine filled under wear on for the night, herpes sores are painful and can last for weeks. if this resolves itself in a short amount of time, thats even less reason to worry.
its looks 100 like you have eczema and a possible fungul change ur under wear often put polysporin if it doesn’t help got to the doctor and get flaccid acid
