Hi Everyone
I got a call from doctor today to have holter monitor fitted for 7 days. On my way to pick up my car (I dont go out much) my heart skipped constantly, I felt like my heart was running away. No pain or anthing and I could breathe fine (bit fast but i was scared because of this) I thought I was going to pass out. After 30 seconds in the car they stopped and I went and had the monitor fitted. The skips were so hard I could feel them bang against my breast bone. Anybody else have this happen? Typical that it was before monitor was fitted and not after.
Hi Hope the week went good for you I get mine fitted Wednesday hope it shines some light on what is happening its all very worrying isn't it no one seems to understand
had no "runs 2 in the whole 7 days! typical though. but i did have 1000's of dropped beats which it picked up. still awaiting the full results though. i only know because when i went half way through the week to have batteries changed she checked what was already recorded and in 3 days it recorded 6000 "dropped beats" i hope yours goes well. keep me posted. i had a terrible reaction to the sticky pads that they attach. i couldnt wait to get it off!
Yes last day today can't wait to get rid of the thing I have to press a button if I feel strange!! so I'm sure it will be a waste of time I think I needed a constant one. The sticky pads are terrible I'm missing skin on one bit of me where It just wouldn't budge when I needed a shower. Glad when its over.
I had one that recorded constantly. It stopped a few times tho. I cant understand how these stickies are being used when they tear your skin off. Its not like I have sensitive skin. I dont. So there has to be somthing in them. Have you had any episodes?
Hi!
Yes, I have had a very similiar experience also in a parking lot going to my car! Years ago, when I worked at a local hospital. It was REALLY scary. Now, since I have been experiencing ectopics for 3 stinkin years, I do not get as scared but why do we have to live like this? Stay positive with me and as I keep posting, there are success stories. GI is the cause? Adrenaline? Hernia? Tired of trying to figure it out. Keep posting.
I have worn one in the past but they make me very nervous as I feel I will be the worse case of ectopics they have ever seen. I do not wish to wear one anymore so admire all of you who do. It did record alot of episodes but I feel I get runs of them now.
