Sleep arousals

is 16.9 sleep arousals per hour normal?

Hi angela,

Is your question in response to a sleep lab report? If this is the case, the report should also mention the reason for the arousals, and also how serious they are. This question can’t really be answered in a vacuum, and is something you should discuss with the sleep specialist who presumably ordered the test.

I agree with lily on this one. You really need to speak to a sleep specialist. Whilst its quite normal for people to ‘stir’ several times a night this question can’t really be answered by us as we are not experts in the field & don’t want to give conflicting answers to something we’re not sure about. Your specialist is much better equipped at answering this for you. Good luck & i hope you get the answers you seek.
