Has anyone had white around their clitoris hood. I’ve been having pain in that area for about 2 months and just noticed today that I have white stuff in that little area. Is it possible that that can be causing the sharp pain. Can Smegma be a symptom of genital herpes. I’ve taken a herpes IgG test at 11 weeks but scared the tests aren’t picking up the antibodies.
Yes! I have had this in the past when I haven’t washed thoroughly. It can cause pain, it used to cause me a very sharp pain. I washed it off gently but thoroughly by using a flannel with my finger under and just went around the clitoris/clitoral hood to remove all of it. Once I had washed it off well it never came back because I’m always sure to clean in every nook and cranny! especially around the clitoris as it did cause a lot of sharp pains. I know they say not to wash with soaps etc but admittidley I do and that’s what I used at the time to soften it and clean properly, I used femfresh and lathered it up on the flannel and cleaned around, also going around the clitoris with a wipe even with soap on helps. Try and keep on top of cleaning that area thoroughly to avoid this recurring. I mainly had this when I was younger and wasn’t comfortable with washing the vagina area thoroughly. I would also recommend getting some over the counter Fluconazole just to make sure there is no thrush either.
Oh. Ok thank you. Yes it causes a sharp pain. I thought was inside my vagina. But I’m thinking now it might be from that because I touched it and it hurt so bad.
Yeah probably just needs a good good clean. If anymore issues see your GP or gynaecologist. Best wishes.
