since taking the tablets I have the most foul smelling farts.
is this normal.

Yep, the gas is a thing! Though I'm not finding it as bad as when I've had sertraline before.
I think Sertraline seems to affect the digestive system quite a bit, which is probably to do with most of the body's seratonin being in the bowel.
Unfortunately, the supplement you can take for helping with digestion/wind (activated charcoal) is something you aren't advised to take with anti-depressants, as it soaks up the drug & stops it from being absorbed. Though my GP said that as I take Sertraline in the morning, I'd probably be OK to take a couple of Charcoal tablets in the evening.
