So I have been pretty distressed about this situation lately. I went to go get tested for STDs and came out positive for trich and chlamydia. The nurse practitioner told me that I needed to tell my past sexual partners so they could go get tested and treated also. So I did that and a couple days later one of the guys texted me and told me he came out positive for HSV-2. I went back to the nurse practioner and she told me that she wasn't going to test me if I haven't had any symptoms, which I haven't. This situation is hard because, honestly, I don't want to know if I have it but having that thought in my mind that I might just scares me.
Si quieres saber (y tal vez no está mal saberlo, ya que podrías haber estado expuesto), puedes hacer la prueba de sangre IgG para HSV-2 después de 3-4 meses desde tu último encuentro sexual con esa persona (IgG, no IgM, por cierto). No necesitas tener síntomas para realizarte la prueba de herpes, solo asegúrate de haber pasado el período de ventana de la prueba.
PD: Si el hombre que te dio tricomoniasis y clamidia no se trata y se hace la prueba para asegurarse de que ha desaparecido, puedes volver a contraer una o ambas infecciones de él, así que tenlo en cuenta.
Sí, es un pensamiento aterrador. Pero no es el fin del mundo. Aprende de esta lección. Al menos no es algo peor. 
I mean those two diseases all you have to do is get a shot of penicillin.. And you're good ..
On the other hand if you do happen to have herpes . It's a life changing events . And since you don't know you should go get tested ... Couldn't hurt .
If the results come back that you're negative then thank god .. And learn from this whole situation, condoms and safe sex can be a life saver ..
If you don't have any symptoms I would be on hold with everything.
Did you and the person who told you he is infected w/ herpes use a condom ?
Veo lo que quieres decir, sería estresante no saberlo. Es extraño que la enfermera no te hiciera la prueba. Hasta que te hagas la prueba, no deberías tener relaciones sexuales por tu bien y por el de los demás. Pero como han dicho otros, entiende que el VHS es algo completamente diferente a la clamidia. Llevarás el virus el resto de tu vida, y tendrá un impacto en tu vida diaria de vez en cuando. Si tienes la suerte de no ser diagnosticado, considera esto como una segunda oportunidad muy afortunada.
Well it's been way past 3 months since any of this happened and still no symptoms.
Well then more then likely you don't have herpes .. Be very very happy .
Like I said a shot of pencilion is way easier to deal with then a life term virus like herpes !
