Sodium Bicarbonate?

Hi New to forum, so appoligies if this has been asked before.

My question is....

Does sodium bicarbonate drops negate the need for syringing please?

Thanks

Bob

Hi Bob, no not usually. If you are lucky it may help the wax come out of your ears but because you can't see what is in there, you don't know if only some of the wax came out. It's always good to get the doctor to look in after to see if there is any wax. If you need wax removed before a hearing test then definitely see the doctor to make sure it has all come out, otherwise it can waste your and their time.

Thank you Olizzioe.

I will take your advice.

I had an infection in my right ear, but that haas cleared up with antibiotics, it's just wax in it/them now, so I'm using the Sodium Bicarbonate drops (recommended by my Doc) and  a fair amount of wax has come out on a tissue, but still a bit muffled in the infected ear.

So I guess it's back tgo the Doctors.

I think it's the best thing to do
