So i haven’t had sex in about 4 months, i finally caved and slept with my ex 5 days ago. The day after I had two small cuts on my vagina, mind you I struggle with bv and my vagina has always been very sensitive and cuts are a more common thing than not after i have sex. Weird I know but anyways I also shaved that night with a dull razor and we used toys so it wasn’t very gentle sex. By friday these cuts turned into what is pictured above, they don’t itch or hurt just sting a little when i wipe over them. They almost look smaller now than they did friday but they’re still concerning me bc my cuts have never looked like this. I went to my obgyn today and she told me they look like they could be herpes but aren’t acting like it (when she swabbed i didn’t flinch and it really didn’t hurt) which she said is weird bc normally when she swabs herpes people are in extreme pain. she mentioned that is might be folliculitis or irritation from sex but the fact that she said they look like they could be herpes is dwelling on my mind. I can’t stop crying, I don’t even want to touch my toddler and I’m going absolutely insane. Does anyone have any input on what they think it is!? I’m going to go crazy waiting for these results and even crazier if they end up being positive.

Yeah but I'm hoping with everything in me its not and he has nothing on his penis so if it comes back positive its beyond me
I had something similar, i got my test results back today and it was negative. I am still panicking try to relax or you will end up in fear like me.
80% of people with genital herpes never have symptoms or an outbreak! The virus also sheds which doesn't come with any visual symptoms! Alot of stds/stis can not have any symptoms! so just because it came up now doesnt mean its not something you had before if you had other sexual partners! Also it doesnt have to be on his penis- could be orally transmitted or in any region of the boxer short area!
the fact that you cut easy and your skin is more sensitive leaves you more open to catching something not just herpes!
if it is herpes its not the end of the world! there is worse things that people to through! also wash your hands after you touch them! but you wont pass it to your toddler!

So a weight has been lifted off my shoulders because my results came back negative ! but i still have the cuts (although they are scabbed like they are healing ) but I'm so I'm confused to what it is ??
So turns out the results i looked at online this morning werent my herpes test, unfortunately i came back positive with herpes simplex 1 and negative for herpes simplex 2. Some how some way I got herpes simplex 1 next to my vagina which I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around. Whats the difference between having 1 instead of 2 on your genitals and why the fuck is this even possible lol

how long since exposure did you get tested?? it takes a while for your body to build antibodies?

i posted up top that i read the wrong results, I came back positive for hsv1. negative for hsv2 so I guess theirs kinda of a bright side that its not hsv2 but still sucks and currently still hating myself

Hope you're H-free, but remember that if you took the blood test that looks for HSV-2 IGG antibodies is only reliable after 3/4 months since the first outbreak.
there is not difference between the strain 1 and strain 2 virus, its exactly the same, all the number related to is location, 1 being oral (usually) and 2 being genital.
