It may be something simple like an infected cyst or infected, possibly ingrowing hair, follicles. Have you been picking at it?.
Try an anti fungal shampoo working it into the area well and leave on for a few minutes. If you have a small soft brush then use that to work into the area.At night , rub a little vaseline into the area. Try to do these 2 things every day and it may help to shift the problem. Please dont pick …it will make it worse.
If it makes no difference then you need to see your doctor or dermatologist. Can you phone them or possibly send them a pic as you have done here?
