Spoke to soon

Hi all                                                             Well I think I spoke too soon when I said  everything is fine, now getting a horrible pain on the left where the cyst was going right down into the groin  any ideas? I'm now 3 weeks post op . Karen

Probably the stitches loosening but see your GP if it's bothering you. You have to heal inside as well as outside and this takes longer even though you can't see what's happening. Best wishes Poll X rolleyes

Hi Karen,

I had my op on the 4th of September.  Is it a stinging type pain? I experienced a horrible pain where sitting down was painful I ended up back in hospital. If so it could be the stitches on the inside but if unsure please make sure you get it checked.

Hi Lottie.                                                       As you are a week ahead of me are you completely pain free yet. I am walking as much as I can and went to get my eyes checked yesterday in town oh my that was a mistake it felt like I was in a bubble and every thing was just going on around me. . I have been to the nurse who put another dressing on and said it looks ok if it does not settle I will see the doctor. What did they do when you went back to hospital?  Xx karen

Question.

Reading other people's posts and checking symptoms. I think I may have cyst/s on my right ovary. I am abroad right now and wont return home for another 5 weeks. Is it urgent to have it checked? I've read that often the Dr simply recommends watch and wait.. Im really uncomfortable and do have travel insurance but I'm not convinced I'm bad enough for a trip to the hospital, I just don't want to waste anybodies time or have to pay a huge bill (can claim back) if it's not necessary. I'm only 22 and haven't had this pain before. Any thoughts and ideas would be great. Thanks.

Oh you poor thing! Yes I know how you feel😩.  The hospital only gave me a shot of morphine and these patches that are placed on your stomach over the pain (meant to help some how by dissolving)

You should try to have it checked soon if you can find a doctor or hospital to do that. There's always a chance that it could twist and that would be so painful you'd need emergency treatment wherever you are. It's worth a check if your insurance will cover it while abroad. rolleyes
