Sporadic ongoing foot pains...home rehab stretches?

So, 8-18-2020 I attempted to rescue a baby deer from lane of traffic, long story shortened-ish, my car started rolling, I foolishly thought I could jump in, press the brake, and all would be well. Not the case, my suv pulled my left foot/leg under it and about wrung it off. Resulting in lisfranc injury, doc said with such force my ligaments took bones with it, not my actual toes, but all bones behind them, up to and including the 3 bones that make up my ankle, and my fibula were all broken and mangled. First surgery 9-?-2020, to place plate and screw sets for reconstruction. Ortho doc was amazing, think the world of him, made no promises or guarantees, but to envision the shape I was in to where he’s successfully gotten me to…he’s great! Had 2nd surgery 3-1-2021 to remove the plates and screws from top part of my foot, as what is on ankle and fibula will remain so long as they don’t begin to bother me. I have numerous numb/burny spots, my toes (1st, 2nd, 4th &5th) intermittently go into painful fits, right below where my toenails start, there’s a spot on my upper outer fibula (3-6 inches below knee) where I get relief sensations while rubbing and pressing hard in my ankle and lower part of fibula where the plates and screws are, the most awful and interfering pains come from the arch of my foot. I’ve noticed in that band there is a spot where, when it’s in a painful fit, it feels as though a cut in half bouncy ball is jutting out. I can press into and rub the spot, and am usually able to massage the knot and discomfort away, never knowing if it will return within 5 mins or 5 hours. Is or could this be the ligaments effected by the lisfranc injury attempting to reattach and ‘wake up’? I’m out of my boots, casts, and all (thankfully) walking without cane, still elevating as needed and when in bed or sitting, just as good measure. When I’m outside, any type of change in terrain (roots of trees in yard, little slope changes) or give in the pathway (sand or gravel) can catch me off guard and cause pain. When I’m walking around the house, socked or barefooted, I cannot stand anything on the bottom of my foot, sometimes it seems as though my foot can now detect even a single speck of dust, even stepping on something soft laying in the floor, towel, bath mat, or clothes I’m stepping out of, can cause this same pain and discomfort. My ankle sometimes will lock up to where it feels like my Achilles tendon is going to pop if I continue my step, I just try and work it back and forth, but don’t push it toward popping. At one point I did find slight relief in top of foot pain with manually pulling my big toe outward, just putting my finger between it and my second toe would help. I don’t and haven’t had what I would consider unrealistic expectations, but would love to know if some of these pains could ever lessen in severity or even frequency. I do my abc’s with it, at least a couple times per day, wiggle, point, bend, and flex my toes, and will gently push and pull against my hand…only as I can tolerate, not while weight bearing, and never till I feel pain. Are there any other ideas on what I could try and do here at home to rehab it safely. Thanks for anyone’s time and considerations… sorry for the novel!!
