I just noticed this today and I went to the doctor Immediately after noticing it. The doctor told me it not Herpes nor std period. However he didn’t give me an exact answer on what it could be… THOUGHTS ? Also I Haven’t been sexually active in 2 months.
also just because u havnt had sex for 2 months dosnt mean u dont have an std the majority of men dont have any symptoms at all and can still have an sti some take a while for symptoms up to a month in some cases to appear
I posted similar post a year ago. Mine was brown spots but not on the shaft, on the glans of penis. Its still there, nothing happening though. Just there and came suddenly. Allays anxious about them.
i spoke to him via inbox he said it wasnt a raised spot that it was flat im not sure wat it could it could be harmless but needs checking my a skin specialist iv never seen that before i dont think its sexually transmitted tho
it is best to have any dark coloured spot or skin pigmentation looked at by a skin specialist just to put your mind at ease but most things are benign skin conditions like skin tags or just darker pigmentation to the skin anything new should be looked at just for peace of mind really
but herpes is a raised blister that itches u know if u have it its like cold sores but on the penis same thing darker patches could just be freckles skin pigmentation thats darker than your normal skin could be moles or skin tag most things that appear on the penis are benign and warts look look like little pieces of caiflower raised or can be flatter but that not a wart in the photo
there is also a condition called Penile melanosis looks bad but is benign It’s characterized by small patches of dark skin on the penis. This change in color is known as hyperpigmentation, and it occurs when melanin (brown pigment) forms deposits in the surface layer of skin which could be what the photo is above
Let’s be clear, it doesn’t look like any STD. The only STDs that may cause genital lesions months after exposure is HPV and Granuloma Inguinale.
It doesn’t look like HPV.
It doesn’t look like Grauloma Inguinale. Very rare in developped countries.
Just see a skin specialist. If it’s painless it may just be a simple pigmentation or just melanosis.
You may have it for a long time without noticing it. If you think, you have it from today, go see a dermatologist just to rule out some malignant conditions and for your peace of mind.
it doesn’t look like any malignant condition ( melanoma). But better to see a dermatologist for a better diagnosis because many conditions may cause pigmentations in the genitals, most of them are not life threatening.
It’s more likely to be a simple permanent pigmentation, melanosis, or just small hyperpigmentation due to itch of egzema if you had it recently. Hyperpigmentation last months to one year. It doesn’t look like Neavus.
thank you all for your responses I am getting it checked out again tomorrow, you’re all helping me ease my mind and I TRULY appreciate it. I will keep you updated.
