Still in pain 7 weeks post TAH

Hello

I’m 7 weeks today post TAH with BSO. I’m due to be going back to work on Monday but I’m still so sore and swollen. My belly feels tender around the scar and a couple of inches above it in places. It’s not so bad that I’m having to take painkillers but it’s definitely really uncomfortable, especially changing position and if I sit for too long. Is this normal or could there be something wrong? Any advice would really be appreciated, feeling very lonely at the moment. Thank you for reading.

7weeks is still very early. I was off work for 13 weeks, it takes about 6months to feel more normal nd a full 12 months to fully recover. Then theres the issue of having no ovaries, that took me 5years to get mine sorted once and for all!
Take your time, relax and so not do anything strenuous for at least 6months!
