Stress during the semester

Hello, I have a problem with stress during the semester. Better said, I have stress during the day when I'm at university. Stress is most pronounced on my stomach, I have diarrhoea - only when I have lectures or better said whenever I'm physically at university. I also have diarrhea at home only in the morning the day I go to university. I feel stress and stomach problems before start of the semester especially when I think about that. I tried yoga and some breath antistress techniques, but I felt almost no change. Has anyone had similar problems? Thanks for any advice.

yes I had that often in college and even when I had to work. Just as somebody who has been through this and now in my 50s, I can tell you that the best thing to do is get some support for this now. I say that because I did not get proper support when I was younger and it has affected my entire life. The cramping and diarrhea eventually stopped but other stress symptoms would be with me through the years. More recently I ended up with gastritis from stress. I have always had generalized anxiety, Fight or flight response to situations that caused anxiety, along with negative thoughts and fear etc.
if you can, speak with a counselor or therapist on a regular basis so that you can manage the anxiety and stress better.
somethings that I i’ve learned over the years …

  1. don’t take life too seriously and remember when you are anxious about a situation that "This too shall pass "
  2. sometimes you just have to put yourself first and take care of yourself. Because without our health, nothing else matters.
3.Life is way too short to spend it feeling miserable!!
  3. take action! Do whatever it takes to get some support for this. You are important and deserve to feel well.
  4. do anything to relax your mind whether it’s just going for a walk in nature or whatever.
i really hope you feel better. This kind of a thing can take some time but you have to be persistent in feeling better! Just take one day at a time. we are here for you! Take care
