Subakute Thyreoiditis

Hi,

  I was diagnosed with viral/subacute thyroiditis in December 2016 and then made a full recovery by June 2017. But since then I have lost lots of weight and unable to put on weight. I've undergone several tests and they are negative and the doctors have no answer to the weight loss. The thyroid levels are now in the normal range. So was wondering if there is anyone with similar symptoms of weight loss after viral thyroiditis?

Did they check you for TSI antibodies?

Many Thanks for your suggestion. Not that I can remember. I had a short synacten test for cortisol levels done and that was normal. I will check the next time I meet the endocrinologist if this is necessary. The doctor told me was that there was no endocrine related cause for the weight loss.
