I was diagnosed with genital herpes almost 5 years ago and always had very few outbreaks, maybe 1 or 2 a year. However in the last year I have found I am now getting an outbreak with every period and often once I get over the initial outbreak it will reoccur a few days later, so I am occasionally getting 2 outbreaks a month! Is this normal?
Sounds like a hormonal shift for you and it can happen. I don't know what your age is, but that can do it. Other things like stress, lack of sleep, etc. Maybe see about getting on daily suppressive therapy for a bit.
Sorry I forgot to put my age, I am 23. I wouldn't say I was any more or less stressed and I have always had trouble with my sleep. Thank you for your reply, will go to my doctor soon about trying daily treatment.
Ive been getting them almost once a week. As soon as obe heals i get another...is really annoying. I have been stressed but once a week really!!
