So this morning i woke up with some very sharp knee pain which seems to have occured overnight. I have never had any issues with my knees and in the days leading up to today ive had no signs of knee soreness, it only just came on when i woke up. Its a pretty sharp pain on the medial side of my left knee. It hurts to flex and extend and i can barely run without the pain. Things like sidesteps (only when going to my right side) and skipping with a skipping rope are fine though.
I have no idea how or why i have this knee pain. Also i have iced it all day, put cream on it and still painful. Does anyone know what sort of injury this is or can anyone suggest any treatments to help make the pain go away?
Actually it cannot confirmed what exactly the problem in your knee . However it can be a sign of varicose vein or PAD problem but still it is better that you should consult from some specialists or doctor. Take care.
This is one of those things like driving a car that suddenly has an engine noise. You have 2 optiins, keep driving till it blows up or gets much worse or take it to a mechanic before it becomes more serious. My advice is to get to a sports medicine orthopedic Dr asap and stop abusing the knee doing any kind of impact sports immediately before you wind up in an emergency room with unbearable pain.
Knees are probably the most abused joint in the body and like anything else that continually abused, it will eventually rebel.
Hi I agree, don't keep doing high impact sports if its that bad, the likely hood is you have strained it but because you are not sure, ice rest and see Dr or if its giving you a really bad pain take your self off to A&E and get it checked.
You need to see an orthopedic knee surgeon for imaging and diagnosis. There are sooooo many causes for knee pain that no one can give you a definitive answer. Doc...imaging...diagnosis...treatment plan. Just follow the Yellow Brick Road.
Probably not in Kansas, like me and know where to find a convenient yellow brick road.
Happy Thanksgiving Chico. Like I've always told my kids, eat a turkey, don't be one.
Have a super fattening day. Going to be quit here. My wife is in an acute rehabilitation center after another downhill slide with Parkinson's. Not looking very good even though she's a little stronger. Going to be a difficult holiday season I'm afraid. I've been diagnosed with severe stenosis L2 through 5 with probable surgery facing me. I picked her up after falls a couple too many times.
As you well know, its just life and you have to fight on. Heading towards 81 not sure how much fight I got left.
Geez... Like we lead parallel lives. After seven years of increasingly deep depression following brain aneurysm surgery, my wife is undergoing ECT (electroshock) for the next few weeks. Three times a week with 3-hour round trip travel each time has us exhausted...and we've just started. Going to be a very low-level holiday for us. Happy T-Day...
