i work at a grocery store, woke up this moring feeling fine, i started working then it was time for my break, i went to buy a sandwhich and as i was walking toward the cash i had this weird feeling of being really spaced out when i realized i was spaced out i immidiatly thought that i would pass out
i have an issue of always overthinking my symptoms, and thinking the worst of every situation.
a little more info about me:
im not depressed
not taking any medication
have had tension in my upper neck for about 5 days
i dont get alot of sleep
a little bit of back pain depending on how i sit
if anyone needs more info i will be happy to provide it
Oh and i dont know if me freaking out about it is causing more symptoms or if its actually real symptoms.
And to describe the spaced out feeling a little more it was like i knew i was walking and i could hear people talking around me but i dont remeber what exactly i was looking at but i didnt loose vision. i felt kind of out of body ish. its really hard to put the feeling into words
How old are you? Sounds as if you're not getting enough sleep. Depending on how severe your back pain is maybe consider seeing an orthopedic doctor for it.
If I am having problems with mine I get that feeling. PT told me avoid grocery store, Walmart especially, and lowes. So much to look at the eye movement really makes me worse. I forced myself to stay at work one day as long as I could stand it. Finally had to leave early. I don't even remember that night. Was so hard to fight the dizziness took all my concentration just to function . The feeling will also cause a bit of anxiety. Kinda like a panic attack thinking about if your gonna make it to the end of your shift and get home
Could be worth seeing a good chiropractor! Mine Has helped me so much
Another thing. Light. Very light sensitive. Most stores use florecent lights. Most people don't know or even notice. They cycle. It's not a constant light. They flicker rapidly. That kills me Lol. Sounds. After a episode of vertigo I am so sound sensitive a screaming kid makes my head spin violently. Wife doing dishes this morning. I went into the bedroom. Ride 50 feet down the road in the car is a nightmare.
Check out my thread if you want the full story but I was having similar issues over a long period of time. Grocery stores are my biggest weakness. Original diagnosis was vestibular neuritis but they took that diagnosis away when vng came back normal.
I've had every test imagineable even mri. When it came down to it my doctors agreed on an anxiety disorder that may have developed from the birth of my first child and the lack of sleep and stress that comes with it. I have never had anxiety or depression and still don't feel depressed or have anxious thoughts, but my body had a constant adrenaline rush or out of body type feeling until I started treatment.
So far a month of being on antidepressants (Paxil 10mg) has reduced my symptoms to about 1x per week and it doesn't last long.
How do we get to your thread kyle?
What sort of symptoms did you have? Or is it just the out of body feeling?
I found it from search on main page. Search vertigo dizziness. Scroll down the threads. Was on second page of them
Hi I've put a few things on over last couple days about my vertigo etc and that I take betahistine dihydrochloride 16mg. My ENT doc also prescribed 10mg amitriptyline for my symptoms I just wondered do they actually work? I've had them a year almost and haven't taken any caus like an idiot I read the info leaflets which I don't think help!!
Only thing I was ever given for it was 2 mg diazepam that even helped. Meclizine did nothing. But the episode I had a few weeks ago , it's not helping. Went to a new ENT monday. More tests Wednesday. Waiting on results to see if I was misdiagnosed before. Had several episodes of vertigo in the past 3 weeks. Won't leave me alone. Diazepam not stopping them this time.
Well I seem to have a good 6-8 months before I have another episode which then normally last 1-2weeks I'm through the first week now but no where near starting to feel normal. I think I should go back to my doc and ask to be referred to a different ENT specialist like u to seeing there was a mis diagnosis.
My mum is on amitripyline for her migraines. I was on betahistine but heard it's a vestibular suppresant so not good to take as ur brain can't compensate
Can find the name of good ones in your area on heathgrades web site. Problem is getting in to see one. I got lucky. Was a 3 month wait to get into one. My primary got me in faster.
Meclizine works to stop the nausea and in higher doses to stop the vertigo. Luckily, the pills worked to stop the vertigo and the nausea a few weeks ago. It came back a week ago but it was a mild bout, that I didn't feel I needed to take the pills.
I have stopped taking the betahistine as I read they can actually cause dizziness. It's helped a little. How is your mum either the amitriptyline and what mg does she take?
A lot of meds have the side effect of dizziness it's crazy! She's only just started and I'm not sure what mg but I can ask. Do u have vestibular migraines?
I was taking 5 meclizine at once. Did nothing but help me sleep. Lol. Ondansetron stops nausea. Diazepam was working for the vertigo. But this bout it's not helping.
Not sure where you read this, but Betahistine eases the symptoms of vertigo. Looking at the patient info on it there's no mention of it causing dizziness. Maybe you read it wrong.
This is what I find strange because I actually rarely get headache only menstrual headaches.I had the eply thing done and various other tests but he came to the conclusion of migraine with vertigo!?
