25 year old male. I have really just started getting into using sunscreen the last 18 months or so, especially when I going to be out side. But even though I am kind of new to it I was never one to just lay out and bake in the sun anyway. I mean since I was 15 I may have gotten what one would call tan 3 times. Sure I’d get a little sun over a Summer but nothing crazy.
Now when I was young 13 and down I would be outside all Summer and many years did get tan. What kid thinks about sunscreen?
I have been reading about the Sun causing cancer and that it ages you. I have had a lot of people think I was 17, so I apparently still look extra young. Not that 25 is old. But I want to stay looking 20 to 30 as long as possible. Who doesn’t?
Anyway, I came across something that said most sun damage occurs before 20 and it takes 25 to 30 years for sun damage to occur. So if you didn’t use sunscreen as a kid then you will probably age and have a lot of wrinkles. So, is the sunscreen I use now really doing anything to help my skin keep looking younger. I might only get caught out one day a Summer now without sunscreen because I keep it in my Jeep.
