Hi everyone,
I’ve had chronic eye issues for about 20 years, mostly diagnosed with blepharitis (only one doctor mentioned possible ocular rosacea).
My baseline symptom is a constant “dead / exhausted eye” feeling (like my eyes lack all vitality). On top of that, I get sudden redness triggered by intense mental focus (like playing video games—though regular computer work all day is fine) or dry environments like airplanes.
Standard routines don’t help:
Eyelid wipes/cleansing, warm masks, and eyelid massages don’t work or even cause irritation.
Lubricating drops, lipid drops (like EvoTears), and liposomal sprays don’t fix the issue.
Anti-inflammatory drops might reduce some redness, but they do NOT fix the “dead eye” feeling at all.
Here is the thing: Direct summer sunlight on warm days is the only thing that resets my eyes. I mean actually exposing my face toward the sun for 2-3 hours .After that, my eyes feel alive again, comfortable, and aesthetically look great (vessels calm down). But after a few days indoors without sun, the dead eye feeling and redness come right back.
Has anyone experienced this same reset with direct warm summer sun exposure? What actually helped you keep this result long-term without having to sit facing the sun every day?
Thanks!
