Switching from Tamsulosin to Cialis/Viagra

Fed up with Tamsulosin side effects and considering a request to switch to Cialis/Viagra. Has anybody done this and how did you get on?

Tried Cialis and was ok for about thirty days then started to get unrelenting heartburn. It is a side effect I couldn't deal with so had to stop taking it.

Since my insurance would not cover Cialis, my uro wrote me a script for Tadalafil (generic Cialis) and I order it from a Canadian pharmacy. Simple process, just do your research on the pharmacy you use.

I dropped Tamsulosin, tried flomax but couldnt deal with the side effects.  I've been on Cialis for a few weeks and am having some excellent results.  I started with 5mg/day but found that I was having strong erections at night that made it difficult to pee so now I'm experimenting with one night 5mg, 2 nights 2.5mgs, etc.

2 different issues addressed by those drugs.  I also hated the avodart/flomax (tamsulosin)/rapaflo symptoms, and simply refused when I discovered their effects on me.  Cialis/viagra address blood flow and erection maintenance, which as I understand it is not related to BPH.  I used viagra 50 with great results for several years, no problems.  Best wishes

flomax is the brand name of generic tamsulosin

I meant finistre and tamsulosin.  I had alot of discomfort while taking this combination, no improvement.

Please somebody tell me whether you replace Tamsulosin by Cialis to improve

The urine flow? I believed Cialis is for erection?

I switched from flomaxtra to Cialis 5mg due to retro but found daily cialis gave me awful backache

Pity as it definitely helped my nocturia

Cialis is primarily known for helping men to get erections but its also recommended for nocturia.  I was on Flomax but switched to Cialis and its greatly reduced the number of times I get up at nite.

After my Urolift was elated to get off Flomax/Tamulosin.  No more dry orgasms.  At 71 I now ejaculate like a horny teenager.  HOWEVER, docs overlooked the fact that Flomax helped lower my blood pressure and my BP shot up until we figured it out.  Doc added a wee bit more blood pressure meds to get back on track.

And, as for Cialis it gives me hemorrhoids.  Of course the pill makers have to deny this and even the doc says I'm wrong but its too much of a coincidence over the years for me to deny.  I use Cialis PRN and when I do use it the hemorrhoids flare up.  If you think about it, that's what Cialis is supposed to do - open up blood flow to the veins. Fine in the penis but no fun right next door in the tailpipe!  Big pharm has billions of dollars at stake to cover this up.

Hello, andyr0,  I do take cialis (5.0 mg) for BPH, and it does give me noticeable relief.  I used to weigh 192 lbs., and I'm 5' 9".  I've lost 40lbs., and the BPH has abated - quite a bit in fact.  I also take dutasteride (generic Avodart) 0.5 mg.  Hope this helps.
