I had a routine eye test which showed a swollen optic nerve in one of my eyes. Optician said it could be from increased intracranial pressure but everything I’m reading says iih would cause swelling in both eyes so I’m convincing myself I have a tumour or something! Does anyone else have or had this? For context I’m a 33 year old female with a high bmi and headaches

You may have wet age macular degeneration that can hit anyone with no history of it in family. Have you tried looking at an Amsler grid to see if lines look straight or not at reading distance? This is what happened to me from hypertension and illness of an autoimmune attack.
Do wish you well and do try not to worry until you find out what it is. An Odema will be a lump like fluid splitting the optic nerve. This might look high on OCT scan but is small. It’s caused by leaking blood vessels of the retina.
