my surgery in Monday 7am, USA, anterior, 67 years old. From reading I'm assuming I'll come home with TED socks. One pair. So I thought I'd get a second pair at the pharmacy so I'd be able to still wear a pair when the others are being washed. They have several sizes and different amounts of compression, mild, moderate and firm. Do you guys know which you actually came home in? Thx

Ask the hospital for a second or even a third pair. You'll be surprised that they will oblige. I asked for a second pair and they gave me 2 extras no charge.
I was just going to suggest what susanbaci did. I ended up with 3 pairs and only had to wear them for 2 weeks. Please don't spend money on them! I would even be willing to donate mine. I only wore one pair because I wasn't aware that I had the other two pairs!

We are in Boston and my husband was given a second pair by the hospital. Recommendations about wearing them seem to vary between surgeons. Some don't use them at all. He was instructed to wear them daytime only for the first two weeks.

Hola Debbie, en primer lugar, me gustaría desearte lo mejor para tu próxima cirugía y una pronta recuperación. También estoy en EE. UU., pero me hice la cirugía por vía posterior hace casi 6 semanas. No usé medias TED, pero tuve inyecciones para adelgazar la sangre que debía aplicar a diario. La oficina de mi cirujano escribió la receta y me hizo llenarla antes de la cirugía. También estoy en mis 60... Ojalá pudiera ayudarte con tus preguntas sobre las medias TED... Principalmente quería desearte lo mejor... Barb

Buena suerte anterior USA 03/15/16 6 semanas abierto dedo del pie compresión suave. Son un verdadero dolor pero necesarios y se siente maravilloso cuando te los quitas, Asegúrate de hacer tus bombeos de tobillo y tomar tus medicamentos. Cuanto más camines eventualmente no los necesitarás. Duerme principalmente boca arriba y usa mucha hielo al menos la primera semana. Mantennos informados ....
