Thanks all

Thank u all for your replies. For some reason even though I have notifications on I am not receiving them.

3 days on and it's not to bad. Worse thing is bowel movements. I paced the floor most of yesterday afternoon where pressure of needing to go but having to leave it to work it's way down naturally ... was sooooo painful. 😱😱Eventually it happened and OMG I'm glad I remembered how to do the breathing like when you have a baby 😂😂😂

3 bowel movements so far and it flipping hurts my legs are like jelly afterwards but the art is to try and relax 😁😁 I am having movical twice a day .

Regarding pain relief I am just taking paracetamol regularly and maybe ibuprofen if pain worse.

On the whole it's ok and I'm now mastering the art of letting hubby do all . It's really quite nice to sit and watch the tv whenever. I'm watching The Crown on Netflix at the mo . If I want to watch a few episodes in a row I can 😁😁😁x

I was told to put my feet on a stool when having a bowel movement as when your hips are elevated like this it helps with the natural down motion. I have found this helps a lot for me. I am still taking 30ml of lactose a day and 2 senacot and trying to drink loads of fluid to help. If you're not already taking something like this see about getting some or increasing of you are taking. Glad to hear you are keeping your feet up xx

I haven't been receiving notifications either. I thought the forum had just been very quiet but when I checked today I noticed I've missed all the posts from the last 6 days! It's good to read everything is going reasonably well especially now you've managed to have your bowels opened. Just keep resting and take care x

Its good to hear that you are doing well (apart from BM problems)and rseting as much as possible. I was supposed to be having my op on Dec 6th and they have brought it forward to this Thursday so mad panic now!

Its good to hear other people saying not too bad as I am dreading it!
