The gift that keeps on giving!

Ok so I've been doing a lot of research on genital herpes and know I have it. Currently going through the first outbreak.I have a cluster on the shaft of my penis, been there a month and prior to that was the pins and needles burning sensation on the area where the cluster now is.

I've been with one girl for a year now. I've been faithful to only her while she has been unfaithful. I know of two different guys she has been with. My question is this. Did she give me this! Is it possible I had it beforehand and just now having an outbreak?

I've been away from her for 2 months. Haven't seen her. My dilemma is the week I left she was rubbing my penis, inspecting it after we made love and jokingly said to me " you better not have no herps on here" like she was expecting to find something. She is constantly saying I'm cheating on her. I'm telling y'all I have not. So she gonna try to claim I got it elsewhere when it's not possible unless I got it over a year ago. If that's the case , is it possible she don't have it?

This situation has got me all messed up! I don't know what to do or think about this woman I love with all my heart.

A month is a long time to still have herpes blisters/ulcers. Did you ever get it confirmed by swab?? Basically, you could have found out if this was a new or existing infection if you had tested immediately.

A positive swab with a negative IgG antibody test means a new infection. Both positive means an existing infection. Unfortunately, month-old lesions are not so reliable for swab testing, and you may already test positive for IgG after a month.

You can still try, however. If you retest for IgG 3 months later as well and your index value is much higher than now, then that is also indicative of a recent infection. Not all labs provide the exact index value, so you'll need to ask about that. Do not do the IgM test, incidentally, as it is unreliable. Only IgG for the antibody test.

Did you ask her why she would ask that? Seems suspicious to me!
